You ascend a staircase
Turned away from me
I know it's you, even though I don't see your face
After you I flee
I throw my arms around you
Asking you not to leave
I know what I have to do
But I don't know what to believe
You're flickering
Fading in and out
I hate this feeling
This felling of doubt
I don't want this
You tell me to let you go
I know I'm the one denying you bliss
Telling me what I already know
I'll heal one day
Knowing that, I'm still afraid
I choose to move on and walk away
I sit and watch you fade
